Right-size your washers, dryers, and capacity by demographics and budget
Enter your store square footage, target turns per day, customer demographic profile (single load vs. family vs. WDF), and budget. The configurator returns a complete equipment list with brand, model, capacity, quantity, hookup specs (water/gas/electric), and installed pricing through the AAdvantage dealer network. The recommended mix balances capacity utilization, customer wait times, and capital efficiency.
Mix optimization uses queueing theory: each capacity tier is rated for throughput at industry-typical 22-minute wash cycle. The configurator targets a 12% peak-hour wait (industry benchmark for high customer satisfaction without idle equipment). Dryer-to-washer ratio defaults to 1.5:1 (industry standard for coin laundromats with mixed soft-mount and hard-mount machines). All assumptions are editable in Advanced mode.
Excel-exportable equipment list with line-item pricing, total installed cost, monthly utility cost projection, expected annual revenue at 80% capacity utilization, and a sensitivity table showing how changes (more 60-lb capacity vs. more 30-lb, soft-mount vs. hard-mount, Speed Queen vs. Dexter) affect cap-ex and ROI. Pricing is live through AAdvantage dealer feeds.
Yes — building and exporting the equipment list is free. Live dealer pricing through AAdvantage requires a one-time email submission so the AAdvantage rep can confirm your specs and provide installation logistics for your zip code.
Yes. Use the Retool ROI Calculator instead — it handles the trade-in/disposal economics and existing-utility-hookup constraints that a new build doesn't have. The Configurator assumes a clean-slate new install.
AAdvantage Laundry Systems is the largest multi-state Speed Queen and Dexter distributor. Their pricing is competitive within ±5% of the market and they handle installation, financing, and ongoing parts/service. Other distributors are also competitive — the configurator just standardizes on AAdvantage for consistent live pricing.
